Anyone have any information on these? Possibly Schrade/Imperial?Are they tin scales or regular type?

I don't know about all of them but, the tang stamp is Imperial/ Prov. USA...
The scales are delrin like material with a diamond shield that has DE stamped on it.. If I remember correctly, some of the blades were marked Diamond Edge too...

The DE series came in both delrin and stamped shell handle construction...

(if that is your question...)

See the DE series flyers here on Larry awesome site:

Thanks guys. one was on the bay. It just sold for $6.50. I was outbid by .50.I probably would have gone for it if the pattern was different

Yes, the Diamond Edge knives went thru quite a few changes over the years. They were initially a step up from the old Jackmaster line. Well... until production was shifted to the Ireland plant. Then they cheapened them considerably, mostly using co-molded handles.

The trademark was used by Shapliegh Hardware until 1960, then by Val-Test until '65. Imperial seems to have started using it in 1967 if Goins is correct.

I also saw a couple of advertising knives, 2 Camillus celluloid knives for some felt co. They looked like quality pieces. What other "cheap" advertising knives are decent old quality?#23 was on the blade of the Camillus's
