Could someone please give me some info on Imperial PROV. R.I. U.S.A. Fixed Blade knife. 90% plus full. Etched Diamond Edge 309. Is it one of they're earlier models or something after 1988? Is it a real diamond blade? Is it worth picking up for $35?
Diamond Edge was a brand name used by Imperial and Schrade right up until the company went out of business in 2004.
Was it 1988 when the Rhode Island factory closed and Imperial production moved to Ireland? If so your knife is 1988 or older.
Here are two Imperial tang stamp charts from another similar BladeForums topic. However, without good in-focus photos, including close-ups of markings, no one is going to tell you much about your particular knife. Also, we aren't allowed to give information regarding value because you aren't a paid BladeForums member. Your best bet is to find identical knives in similar condition that have sold recently on eBay or elsewhere.
