Well,
I have broadened my horizons, because of you people with the great custom knives I am "forced" to look at day after day. I received some knives from the wife's aunt after they were picked over by her kids. In the shoebox, which I showed in the past, was a cheap scaled Imperial - Made in Ireland.
I am not Irish, but thought you didn't see many of those around. I sent a Buck to Triple R Knives, Leroy Remer, in CA for scale repair and sent the Imperial along with a piece of axis deer antler. Leroy just sent this back, since I have already screwed it up as collector item, I am thinking I will carry it for "White Tie" occasions, should any arise........maybe I will even try a taste of Scotch..........300Bucks

Wow! that came out nice. I got some axis deer sheds (Thats the only deer here other than a few blacktails, that are as common as hens teeth), and just might be motivated to making some scales after seeing your pics.

Nicely done stock knife. However, I must caution that it's Irish Whiskey that would be the more appropriate beverage with your fancy new Imperial. (Think Jamison's, Bushmills, Tullamore Dew and the like.) ;)

Nice stag, and nice knife. I have a single Imperial, and for a using knife it's surprisingly well put together.

Bah! Irish blended whiskey?! Nah. Shake things up a little & have a nip of the Balvenie in front of the fire with your new knife. A nice mod like that knife deserves a single malt. (Yes, I know it's SCOTCH! :p)

Somewhere in my garage I have an old Imperial with the peened bolsters that are loose. It might be worth re-scaling it, since the blades are still pretty much new, and they sharpen up like lasers.

thx - cpr

I have an old Irish Imperial Barlow with the clip-on delrin scales.
The main blade is a wicked sharp stainless, and the small pen is carbon...

I have Bushmills which is a single malt

Great looking knife, Leroy did a heck of a job dressing that one up.

Bushmills; endorced by more I.R.A. personel than any other whiskey!
:D

(It also cleans cosmoline off guns well, if there's nothing else around.)
