I pick this little guy up in a antique store that I hit about once a month to try and find new Knives they had this imperial knife jackmaster display with$45 bucks on it and I got It for around $30. it is about 12" high 12" wide 6" deep at the top and about 8" deep at the bottom. The top rotates to slide the glass out of the front and knives out of the back and its also got a slider on the back. its pretty neat but I was wondering if someone had a picture or pictures of what this should look like filled up. and anyone know a year roughly? The knife numbers are listed by the insers and they are as listed #'s 801-812 and not listed is 809 and 811. any info would help. thanks- Joel

Real nice snag, now the fun begins, finding all those old Jackmasters. It looks like the displays I used to see in the 50's.

Is there anything in the collectors of schrade r us website link about imperial jackmaster sets that you guys could post I could'nt find it in there.

I'm looking. Pre '71, pretty sure. Jackmaster prices were higher then.

I see the price is a little more on this one but I was just wondering how close you guys think this one is to mine. This is for sale right now on ebay and I asked the seller to give me the numbers next to the knives we will see if he does if not maybe I can contact the buyer.

These are from the 1970 Belknap catalog. As I said, I believe yours is earlier.

michael, I hadent realized you posted this here thanks so much, did this come from somewhere or is just common knowledge to you? either way thanks a ton. and Yes it definately will help. By the way when talking about knives what does serpentine mean. and is there a place I can go to find imperial lists like this? -Joel

Also should I be looking for the imperials with the regular shields or the crown type shield for this time period? tell ya the truth Im thinking of putting this thing on ebay.

Did this come from somewhere? Of course it did. I looked them up in old catalogs. Sorry I couldn't find them all, but Imperial information is pretty sketchy still. Evidently the bulk of Imperial files were trashed during the move from Providence Rhode Island to Ellenville New York. Or they were in the storeroom of files acquired by Taylor at the auction. The one main source I could suggest for you to get the correct answers for your questions is Mr. Langston. If I remember correctly, he has quite a few of these Imperial display cases filled. I am sure there are Jackmasters among them. Look first at his corner on the Collectors of Schrades r us site. If you don't find what you need there, look up his email address here in old posts, or on AAPK. I'm sure he's be glad to help.
