I go a little crazy if I just work on orders, so I always try and sneak in some random knives along the way. This is a larger and curvier version of the Kanagawa blade of mine that was named after one of my favorite paintings (I know it's a little strange to name a knife after a place :D ). The 6 1/2-inch 1095 blade is hollow-ground and is 3/16 inches thick. The knife is 11 3/4 inches overall with a "tree" menuki and white rayskin. Sorry for the poor pics, let me know what you think of her.

Thanks -- :)

Feels good to get that one out of your system, right ? :D Imposing yet pretty ! That chunky blade just oozes POWER.

I just got myself one of Michael's smaller blades, and I can vouch that here is a maker who knows what he is doing. Here's Michael's Tigerlily in damascus I just received a week or so ago. For its size it is one of the most comfortable knives in the hand I have ever come across. Jason.

That looks very slick! I like the tree.

Thanks all for the kind comments -- Jody -- you get that big blade done yet? Don't send it off without showing it off. :D

Jason -- Here's one I'd love to get out of my system if I had time. ;)

Hey, did you guys notice that my name appears after Alan Folts AND Burchtree in the KITH2005 list? Just thought I'd bring it to your attention. ;)
