Imperial knife DE arrow

Welcome to Bladeforums Zooman2.

"DE" stands for "Diamond Edge", which was a brand name belonging to Shapleigh Hardware. My guess is that Imperial made the line of DE knives specifically for Shapleigh. The "DE" with the arrow through it is the Shapleigh/Diamond Edge trademark.

Many thanks, suspected that was the answer, but was not certain. Getting the history of it, was very welcome.
