Imperial was at one time the world's largest source for knives of all types. Jackknives, hunting knives, kitchen gadgets, cutlery and table flatware. What many don't realize is that they also made a forray into the electric appliance field. WOrking with a company in Britain, they made electric can openers, and with their division in Theirs France...Durol, they made blades for electric knives and scissors.
Here is one example of an Imperial appliance, an electric peeler with additional attachments. I've not been able to clearly date this one, but it likely hails from the early to mid 1960's, though could be slightly earlier. More research is required.

This is the item I referred to in an earlier thread as "Pinky". Besides the vegetable peeler blade, it has a meat carving blade, a paring blade, and a rubber coated vibrator attachment. Mr. Vickery and I have had some good laughs over the latter.
