According to the tang stamp, my Imperial Scout type knife dates from 1936 to 1952.
It is not a B.S.A. marked knife.

I would like, if possible, to narrow down the age.

The blades are:
Main: Spear Point
Secondary's:
Pen Blade
Long screwdriver/cap lifter
Can Opener.

I suspect the can opener might be my best bet on narrowing the age down.
It is of the "modern" or "safety" one piece style, as seen on the Camillus "Demo" knife.
"Can Opener" is stamped just under the can lip hook, near the tang, not near the spine.
Under "Can Opener" is "PAT PEND".

Also, the Pen Blade sits low in the frame. There is a slight " easy reach" notch to make it easier to get to the nail nick. I believe this to be a factory made notch.

The covers are a jigged black plastic, possibly celluloid? (I just scratched a little on one of the covers. The odor reminded me of the smell you get when sanding a model car or airplane part.) There has never been a shield. (no cutout/inlay for one.)

This knife has real NS bolsters. The liners are brass.
