Imperial Super Razor Blade Stainless

I am a big fan of these knives. It was advertised that they were so sharp that you could actually shave with them.

So, I pick them up when I can find them.

I have handfuls of these, they are fun to collect. I even sometimes am lucky to find one in the package:

They even carried over into the Schrade line...
(No decent pic to include, but most popular with the 825RB and the 855RB)



But I was tickled when I saw this come up on ebay. I had never seen them before, for sale or in a catalog.

Needless to say, I had to have one.

They are the typical shell handle construction, but they also have a hook sharpening stone on them.

Neat knife, IMO, and another to add to the collection.

Nice fishermans knife. Havent seen one with the razor blade stamp

It's been too cold and crappy to use it until recently...

Maybe we'll get out and enjoy it this weekend, in the rain.

I have a couple of these Imperial RB's as well. Both of mine are Delrin, which were the Deluxe model. Nice thick Delrin as well. There are several cousins in this pattern.

I really like these 3.25" stockmen so I thought I'd add a picture of some of the cousins I have.

There is also a Schrade Walden 855RB with Old Timer handles, but not stamped or shielded as an Old Timer. Don't have that one yet.

I recently purchased a Imperial Super Razor Blade SS 2-7/8" in the box, like the one in your picture. The box is in good shape, any idea on the value?

I have always liked that ad for these with the dude shaving. By the time I was old enough to shave I took it with a grain of salt though. Great ad campaign from "the good ol' days". Cool collectibles.
