How To Imperial Toothpick SwitchBlade

Hi,

I need the spring steel part with the tab that locks and unlock the blade and the push button that operates it.

This Imperial switchblade Cir. 1946 -1956, Imperial PROV USA – PAT NOS. 2170537 , 2281782.

The tab is broken off the spring steel that locks the blade open / closed position.

The button is also missing that operates that spring steel, with the tab that goes in the blade holes for unlocking the blade open and closed. I need both of these parts.

I have the slider that may keep the button from being push down.

The spring that opens the blade is good...

Please advice,

Imperial knives are usually inexpensive, so maybe find a donor knife online with a blade that's broken or overly worn.
 
Yup, throw WTB apb out there and see if anyone responds. Probably the simplest solution.

Salvage, scavenge, pilfer old parts.

Use different parts, and mod.

Have someone fabricate it for you.

Turn it into a fixed/manual knife.
