Impinda Hardware Finish

I just received my new Impinda for Christmas.
The hardware is very matted and dingy as opposed to the polished look I’ve seen in pics and videos.

The non show side pivot is the worst. It almost blends in with the scale.

Anyone else receive an Impinda like this?

Here is a pic. Doesn’t really capture it.

I have the original and the slightly updated version. The later is what’s available now. CRK tweaks designs now and then as they always have.

Great Gift. I love the impinda, it’s one of my all time favorite folders

I’ve looked at others for sale from dealers and they don’t look like that. Mine isn’t like that.
Can you post a pic of the bday card and box ?

The Impinda pic used on Recon1 website looks similar to mine. Might just be their filter buts the closest thing ive seen.

No doubt it’s the real deal. They probably did a batch like that. I’ve got a Ti-Lock like that. From what I understand, they did some that had an all blasted finish.
The early 25’s had pinned stop pins. I’d think there aren’t many like it.

It would take no time at all to polish it up if you like the look better.

I have no doubt its the real thing. And im ok with a blasted finish if given the choice. But when i spend $500 on a knife. And i purchase quite a few. I expect to get what is being advertised. Also, the hardware doesn't seem blasted just unfinished. Like someone got lazy on the assembly line.

I like the matte look. Like others mentioned you could take some Flitz or Mother's Mag/Aluminum polish and shine them up with a q-tip.

I get it that it is a $500 knife and you don't think you should have to polish the hardware. I bet if you call CRK they would swap out the hardware. You would probably have to send them the knife and is it worth the hassle?

Depending on where you got it from, you could send it back and get what you expected or a refund.
I certainly understand what you’re saying and you shouldn’t settle for anything less. Mine has the polished hardware.

What is the birthdate of your Impinda?

The hardware has been hardened, whereas the Sebenza hardware is not, except for the stop pin on the new 31.

I personally wish all hardware was like this.

So is the hardening an update to the impinda. Most are polished and owners confirm theirs are polished.

Trying to figure out if this was an update. And if so, when did they make the change?
