Dear Members,

I have been blessed with opportunities and a career that most could only wish to have. This career has

given me everything that I now have, but at the same time this career has also taken many things in return.

My two older daughters' childhoods just seem to have vanished in a flash. My son, who is now 14, is

becoming man. I don't want to miss that. My first grandson is three and my second grandson will literally

be here any day. I do not want to miss any of their “grandpa” times.

I am, at this time, announcing that from this point forward I will only be attending two custom knife shows

a year. They are the Blade show in Atlanta and the USN gathering in Las Vegas. We will also be hosting our

two virtual custom knife shows and lotteries twice a year, the Christmas show and our spring show.

This will give me more time to be with my growing family and my wonderful wife who has supported the

things that I have loved to do, for the last 40 years. Now, it is her turn.

I want to thank all of you for your huge support over the years and I hope you all continue to enjoy the

custom knives that I will still be building for the four events I have just mentioned.

My Sincerest Regards and Thanks,

Ernest Emerson

Time is fleeting. The time we have in our lives is limited. We should all endeavor to make the most of our time and our lives. To do what is important in our lives and to be with those who are important in our lives. Don't be a stranger to those you love.

Sounds like your priorities are in order Ernest thank you and your Employee's for the Great Emerson products!

My dad always says, family first, family first. I hope to see you in Atlanta.

Good to hear you talk about what early matters in life, as you always do Ernie. Enjoy time with your family, and spend lots of time with your son. I just turned 21, and I wish my dad, who is self employed, had taken more time for me when I was younger like your son is. I'm sure you have and will continue to raise him and all your children well. I am happy to hear that you will still be offering your works though! I hope someday to own a custom.

God bless

Kids grow up so fast. If you blink you miss so much. Enjoy your family, God bless.

I was just offered a higher paying job, with more stability, and turned it down because they could not work with my schedule which prioritizes my Wife and Children.

I just feel my time with them is worth more than the bigger paycheck. I'm at every school pickup, I'm at every martial arts class, I'm at every function in their class, I'm at home working with them on their homework, I'm outside teaching them how to use their blades properly, I'm able to read the Bible with them. Well you get the idea, I want to be the one to teach them, not the media and everyone else.

Great plan--enjoy the time with your family. That's what it's all about, doing well enough to step away and be with the ones you love. Congrats on the grandkids; be well.

Anthony

Family first, there comes a point in life when many people have to make that decision.
Thank you for continuing to be a part of the community and I hope to see you around here more frequently as time permits.
