The CQC-7 wave edition

Emerson Knives is producing a very limited quantity of CQC-7’s featuring the wave-opening feature. If you thought the CQC-7 was a good knife before, well now it’s been supercharged. This knife is only available directly from Emerson Knives. The model available right now is the CQC-7B Hard Chrome Finish (Satin) with Black G-10 handles (very few with Green G-10 handles).

The price is $169.00. They are not available at any store or through any dealers and they will not be available long.

“Putting the wave on the CQC-7 was like going from a motorcycle to a bullet train. On some knife designs the wave just isn’t right. On the CQC-7 it was a natural. If you thought it was good before—now it’s smokin’!”
- Ernest R. Emerson

Call, fax, or e-mail an order in to Emerson Knives now, as they are screamin’ out the door.

See pictures of the knives at our web site.

My knives!

COOL!!! I want one!!!

Are they available in plain blade? (Sense we will be getting them directly from Emerson?)

What about production numbers? How many of black and green will be made (if I can ask -- it will help to figure out how long they will last)
And will they be numbered or marked in any way for this limited production fun?

Thanks so much!!! Those look great-

Hello-
In addition to my questions above -- I was wondering if you guys would help me out.

I am not sure if this is the correct topic to post under but....

I recently got a plain edge, Emerson Cqc-7b and I love it. But I was thinking that I might want to get a Commander, mainly because of the wave feature, and I was wondering if you guys think it is a good Idea to sell me Cqc-7b and get the new one with the wave. This way I will be killing 2 birds with one stone. Do you guys think this is a reasonable idea? Will there be anything special about having the regular commander over the new Cqc-7 with wave? Will the wave actions be basically the same? (would there be any benefits to having the regular Cqc-7 or the commander)?

Thanks every one -- Emersons are Great!!! (I just wish I had more $$$)

Any Idea how long these will last?

What are the differences between the black and green? What are you guys planning on getting?

Do you plan on using yours? Green is going to be more collectable right?

Thanks everyone!!!

Personally, I'm a huge "wave" fan. I wouldn't carry a defensive knife without a wave. It'll ruin you for other knives.

If your happy with the CQC7B, your love a waved version. If you want something with "a little more", you may be a candidate for a Commander. The Commander is larger and has the recurved blade.

How long will these last. Well do you mean how will they hold up? I have carried a Commander and USING it pretty much every day since they were released in 1998. Still ticking.

How long will these last, as in till they run out? Don't know, but it does say "limited quantities". This promises to be a HUGE hit. Everyone's been asking for this for a couple of years.

I hope there is a lefty version!

Black or Green, Satin or Black-T. I'd guess that would be personal preference.

Green handles, satin, plain edge. Yeah.

Too bad they didn't make these in the "A" version(clip point) then I would have been able to get one too!!

Plain edge, black handles on order! Emerson is running out of black handles and only have serrated edge blak handles left, so Peggy had them switch the handles with a Green handle plain blade!I asked about this for some time and I am glad it finally happened!

Nooooooooo!! I must have a black handled plain edged waved '7! I just applied for a VISA over the phone a week ago and they said that I was approved and it's "in the mail." I sure hope it gets here before Emerson runs out of plain edge blades or I'm gonna lose it...

I talked to Mary Emerson and she said she wasn't sure when the "A" (clip point) version was coming out. So they might be having one in the near future but don't know how near or far that future maybe.

That's the style I wanted also. But I still couldn't resist getting another Emerson.
