I'm not trying to bring up all of the drama that happened last night, but you can all read it for yourselves if you look deep enough. Basically, Bored2Deth stepped down and left Tattoosteve99 SOG DOG #39 and myself as the alphas of SOG's DOG's. This isn't supposed to be up for discussion but I feel that it should be.

I would like your feedback as a group on this please. I don't want members to be resentful of us or leave because of it. I want everyone to be honest from the start on what you want and how you feel, that way we can work it out and come up with a solution.

Personally, I know we are up for the task, but I don't want it to seem like i've just come in and tried to "take over".

I don't mean to be rude or insensitive. Haven't read the other threads, but came across this one.

It's quite confusing with so many threads about SOG Dogs and all, and I'm lost regarding what is going on in the SOG forums.

Let's keep all the personal non-relevant chatter in a "rant"/chat thread.

Just a reminder - this is a forum relating to SOG knives. Threads should be organized (as originally done) in an orderly fashion, and BF members should refrain from starting threads that are similar in nature. No need to spam and all.

The world is already in turmoil, let's not add any more to it.

I understand, I was just truly wanting to know how members felt. Maybe you should read up on what's going on also.

I hope that the SOG forums can focus more on talking about SOG knives - be it praising them or thrashing them. I like the idea of SOG-sponsored contests, credit to bored2death.

A fair and just thread. Ok here goes. The whole idea of an alpha to me is b.s. , you gotta have leadership abilities to lead. Now the SOG's DAWG's as an idea is a good one, yes it will need some folks to run the club. I see alann 45 as an administrator, because of his even keel, and he appears to not bring too much drama too the table.

I don't think im right about everything,
I'm here to win free knives, so I don't want the job.

I would just say/recommend to not get too dictatorial, cause folks can get that at work. I say go for it.

FYI,
Just spoke with Chris and gave him a headsup on our recent activity.
He's been out of town for a few days.
He said he will take a look at whats been going on and post comments in the next few days.
Things look positive and I don't anticipate any problems, but we'll see what he has to say.

That's great. I think we all need a reality check. I'm here for Sog support and the love of the knives. I would say that if your not here to support Sog then you should find your place here among the other dealers. Just my opinion. Thanks.

I stay here to read about, yak about, chat about, and look at pictures of SOG knives. That's my total focus.

Lets keep this forum about Sog knives, tools, and such. Anyone who had a bad day can go over to whine and cheese. Keep the bs out of the Sog Forum. People are coming here to talk knives, learn about them, brag about their newest edition, etc. This is the Sog forum not the Big brother / National Enquirer

Just throwing this out there, but I personally would rather the "alpha" have a bit more history both on this forum and with SOG producits and their different incarnations throughout the years. Maybe someone from the collectors club website would be willing to step up?

The whole sog dog idea is a great one, but it seems more like a grade school club than one actually based on the sharing of knowledge and companionship revolving around the connection to a companies products.

Thanks for the info. As of right now this Alpha thing is temporary and only time will tell what happens later. I am the leader or #1 for now until Chris and the other dogs go a different way. On the other note, I am very knowledgeable of how things go here. I will do my best and learn with everyone else. That's why we are all here to start with. If Chris and the dogs ask me to step down then I will with no remorse or hard feelings.

Thank you for the input. That's what the intentions of this thread were.

I am not the "alpha", that is tattoosteve. I am a member and am here, as you said, to learn about the products. I may not personally own one myself but Steve owns many knives and has taught me quite a bit about them as well as the various histories. He is a very smart man.

I see what you mean about the grade school thing but it's not normally like that. Things just kinda got crazy a few days ago & personally I got put into it. That's why I've been involved.

You've been here a month, if that. You don't know how things "go here". I think you all need to get a grip, and remember this "SOG DOG" thing is just something a few of you made up. It has no meaning except that you have a self-appointed number. You're not moderators, you're not SOG reps... by your own admission, one of the "leaders" doesn't even own a SOG product, and probably doesn't even know what the acronym "SOG" stands for. I'd stop worrying about "ranks" and "rules" in your made-up club, and worry about knife collecting.

Well thanks for your input. This sub-forum has meaning to me regardless of what anyone might think or I would not have joined it. It is sponsored by Sog itself, so it is not "made up". And for your information lots of us here are knowledgeable and are members on other forums as well. And yes I do know what SOG represents,it is designed for an issued to covert studies and observations personnel group which was during the Vietnam War. And a personal note to you if you would like to come to our forum then ask to do so.We will welcome you like we welcome everyone. Otherwise please refrain from using this forum to post your personal opinions on us for we did not judge you on yours.

I've not seen any endorsement from SOG Knives regarding the "SOG DOG" club. Back that up with some facts? It sounds like you guys just got jealous of Rat Pack #'s and tried to start your own thing (and turned it into some sort of odd "wolves mate for life" club in the process). So, yes, it's made up. Also, I do not need to ask before I post in this subforum. Here's a personal note for you: I'm a paying member here, you're not. If anyone needs to ask to come anywhere on Bladeforums, it's you. ;)
 
You dont need to see them. Its not your place.I am a paying member,and I dont have to answer to you I answer to the Moderator of this Board. And post all you want if you like. We welcome you to do so.
