We had a little fun with the new guys last night, Hog hijinks. :D Consider it a right of passage.

Now the serious part. I know you are all excited, wondering if you scored. PLEASE, now do Amy and her wonderful crew a favor; be patient, just sit tight, and they WILL email you, whether you scored or not. It may take a few days, but the old Hogs remember it took Garth two weeks (no, really) to sort through all the emails. Amy has already said she started last night, how's that for service?

I remember month-long waits. In the snow. Uphill. Both ways. With a 60-lb pack.
 
And besides that excellent advice,
You newer folks should choose a "HOG"
to be your mentor and have any blades you have
been allowed to score sent to that mentor for
inspection.
Its the least we can do to help you on your way from Porkling
to PorkChop.
 
Some of the veterans are actually the ones who made more work for the crew last night with the childish go posts. Any idea how many early emails they probably had to delete?

But the more at the back of the line the better;):D

Not to mention Amy just scrolls to 9:44 EST and deletes everything prior. Real easy:thumbup:

Really though, Jerry has no problem with it at all. Just the way its always been(or since I've been here at least). Like you, It bugged me a little on the first couple of ganzas I was in. And they were much worce than the last couple since they have locked all the old past "Go" threads. Man before those where locked it would even fool some of the old hogs.

They didn't lock up all the old "Go" threads at the Busse forum. It isn't my first ganza, but I should have suspected sooner when Jaxx bumped up the old Embrace The Suck "Go" thread. The Busse forum doesn't have a half dozen "sticky" threads at the top, which allowed it to be at the top.

At least Amy-0 has a sense of humor about it. :thumbup:
 
I'm just pi$$ed cuz I got suckered in about 5 minutes before the real post. :o I was so sure I wouldn't get fooled. It's all good. I was still in within 60 seconds or so.

To tell ya the truth, as a new guy I thought it was all pretty simple. I had 8 or 9 emails saved and ready to go. I didnt even bother refreshing until 9:30 and after. I saw the few fake go threads, validated the real one when it came at 9:44 and fired off a couple emails. Nothing bounced back.

Sounds like you didnt read the rules about "HOGS are a treacherous bunch and will post False GO GO GO's and Fake Jerrys!", (didnt read your 2nd post, it sucks sending early and happens to alot of folks especially when the forum gets bogged down)

Happens every ganzaa, got to be on your toes and read the rules and whats GOING to Happen. I havent been tricked yet. Like Ken44 said, some of the old ones were worse and had alot more tricks going on.

Well, sure, but you're really old. :D

The kids these days don't know how easy they've got it. With all the old GO posts locked, (who did that, anyway?) it's much harder to fool them.
 
I was expecting a lot worse... Also thought it was easy for my first. But I did have some coaching. Pays to have friends... Oink Oink ;-)
