Important thread

Me too.

Thanks for sharing this, Chuck. :)
Perhaps I should start to hang out in the General Discussion Forum too... Seems like there's some interesting things there every now and then.

I never go there either, Chuck...thanks for the heads-up on this.

I use a search engine called Dogpile, if anyone wishes a change...it works real well, never having had it fail me in finding what I want, if anyone's interested in making changes.

I won't buy into the 'tool' thing, however...They aren't so much a 'tool' as a weapon, BUT a weapon to be used in self-defense, and not offence.

I would agree that any blade crimes commited, are ususally done with the ol' steak/carving knife in the kitchen drawer, or some el cheapo Rambo wannabe.

I guess they have a 'right' to pick and choose what they'll allow on their site, we have a right not to go there if that's the way they want it.

Take care,

Philthy

Hem, very odd...sure enough it's workin for me now. At first it brought me multiple times to a basic 1SKS.com site with a link to bladeforums...oh well:rolleyes:

Most people here either collect or manipulate balis but also happen to carry one that could be used as self defense if absolutely needed. I personally almost always have my 42 on me, unless Mer is fixin in up, like now, but almost never even think about pulling it on someone.

That's what I was trying to communicate to Google.

My BM 43 is my main tool knife. For SD I carry a fixed blade if I think it's needed. As a Taoist I believe that violence is never the solution. I flip for fun, and because the balisong is probably the safest folder in production.

A sad way to start the morning.:( To cheer up, I’m going to have to think of some more entertainment for our guests in Cuba.

The act of self-preservation, is one of the most basic of all human instincts. There are many people who truely believe that a person does not have the right to use deadly force when necessary to defend their (or someone elses) life. Lots of govts, mostly Socialist types, subscribe to this insane logic, and by banning law-abiding good people the right to access weapons that can be used as such. I will never submit to this kind of logic.

Having said that, I mostly carry not to flash, and amaze with tricky manipulations, but because I want a knife that will do the job it was intended to do if it's ever called on in a really bad situation.

Having said that, the knife would never be used until the last round is expended from my handgun, because that's what will be used long before ever resorting to a blade of any kind.

I WILL NOT be a victim, because someone else thinks I should be, or takes away may right by 'law' to defend my home, family, and not least, myself.
