Importing Fixed Blade From US To UK?

Hi,

Spotted a fixed blade I have been after for a while on Ebay (of all places). Knife location is US, I am in UK. Knife is 290mm (11 3/8") overall in length, with 170mm (6 3/4") blade, and doesn't seem to come under any of our current UK import 'no-no's'

Is it worth the hassle buying, or should us Brits just not bother anymore due to our ridiculous 'open to interpretation' rules?

Should be ok with a fixed,but if your EBay account is uk resistered they won’t let you buy it.
 
And don't forget the 20% VAT and carrier's clearance/handling charge which you may incur.
