Importing Knives in Canada

I live in Canada, and I just purchased a Swiss Army Knife from a US dealer (it is a collecible kind, with a Star of David on it instead of a cross, an dI have been looking for one for a long time). My question is -- is it going to get seized by Canada Customs at the border? Is bringing in a knife to Canada though mail-order legal?
Thanks,
Paula

Bringing knives into Canada by mail order is legal. The Victorinox Star of David Classic is not going to alarm the Customs guys.

Or I'll have to run up there and straighten them out! :D

(Nice little knife. I've got one on my keychain.)

The main thing Customs doesnt like are tactical folders, which are opened rapidly. When shipping those, make sure the pivot is really tightened down. With a slip joint or fixed blade, there should be no problem.

A SAK won't be a problem. Some Canada Customs agents have been confiscating knives that in my opinion do not fit the definition of a restricted or prohibited weapon, but I have never heard of a SAK being seized.
