the specwar line looked identical except for the notch in the blade. same handles and blade shape. they show up from time to time.

i have never seen the nasa model for sale.
 
most i have seen are modified specwars, the real deal from emerson is probably worth ~ $1500 or so i would think.

personally i have never seen the whats so great about them myself unless all i did was open MRE's all day lol.
 
probably less than 10,

if i was starting a collection i can think of a few more desirable than the NASA, more desirable to me anyway, like the custom CQC6,7,8,12& 13 to name a few.
 
You may not like the NASA knife as much as the others but if there are 10 or less I'd say thats extremely collectable especially if it went to space and you recieved a signed document about the use of it from the astronaut that owned it!
 
i dont know that any went to space lol, it was a prototype thing for NASA to consider and IIRC they didnt decide to get them FWIW. dont have a clue as to if any were issued, i know i have never heard that claimed.

i dont think they are worth any more than any other emerson custom and as IIRC they used a custom blade in a production specwar handle they are only really a semi-custom,

grab one if ya can find one, i'll keep looking for other ones myself.
