Just wanted to give a positive review of a new Case Tiny Trapper I just received.

I bought this as well as a couple other Case knives in the last couple weeks and this is the first I have received, and I am very impressed with everything about it.

Fit and finish is excellent! No gaps, scratches, problems at all. Razor sharp outta the box on both blades, and they even have really good grinds. Very even, and consistent. Scales are done very well, and the colour match is decent on both sides.

Having heard alot of people question the QC coming from Case as of late I thought I would share.

Oh, and the Tiny Trapper is an excellent pattern! I like it much better than the Peanut for a small "back up" blade. :p

I have commented on the quality of Cases Tiny Trapper before, I don't know if its because its so small they pay more attention or maybe just the people at the factory like em,or they don't make as many as some other patterns. Whatever the reason the quality of the tiny is better than most Case knives these days. I own a bunch of case knives and the tiny trappers I own all have better fit and finish than any of the others.

Nice!

I received a nice Case Red Pocketworn Bone Tiny Toothpick in the JK Christmas Gift Exchange - the only real knife I received this year!

I concur, the knife I received has very nice fit and finish - no gaps, beautiful finish with no machine marks.

The blade was not as sharp as I like, but it was sharp enough to cut - and I sharpen my knives to my liking anyway.

Good to here. I too have had good luck in general with Case's QC as of recent. I'm not for certain what the difference is between a tiny trapper, and the new "collectors club" Trappernut.

I received a Case Small Texas Jack for Xmas, and that was the same, everything really well done. Haven't carried it much yet, but a very nice knife :)

It's built on a peanut frame with trapper style clip and Spey blades. A peanut frame is a little bigger than the tiny trapper. That puts it right in between the mini trapper and tiny t. Kind of cool two full size blades on a peanut.

Sounds nifty. The trappernut, might accidentally catch on. I like the looks of it. With the resurgence of interest in the Peanut (thanks a ton to Carl and his minimalism).

I found out the reason for the excellent quality of the tiny knives for case his name is Tom Arrowsmith. He just retired from case and was the one making most of the tiny knives. I just met him the other day when he came into my restaurant.
