impressions of buck hta

can anyone give me their impressions of the buck hta folder. i like the looks, but no local shops have them. i think they might be discontinued. quality, ease of opening, etc. all replies appreciated.

They are not discontinued. I like them, and have one for my work knife. The handle works nicely to give a good grip in the hand. The steel 420HC, while not usually a premium one(you can find some of them in ATS-34 and BG-42) will still hold a good edge and sharpens easily.

I bought a couple of the larger models with fish scenes on the handles for $20 apiece from SMKW. Both arrived sharp OOTB w/no QC issues. Very attractive little EDC's for the office crowd or would make nice gifts. I resold them so can't tell you how they hold up under use, but you really can't go wrong w/any Buck knife that happens to catch your eye.
