There are any number of youtube reviews of the individual knives. So, I am only sharing some impressions.

Having a few minutes before dinner guests arrive, I pulled out the knives. Like so many out here, I have modified the sheathes or replaced the same.

Hmm. The blade on the Afghan and the BK2 seem nearly identical! So, yep, I slipped the Afghan into the factory BK2 sheath and the BK2 into the aftermarket Afghan kydex sheath. Next, I moved knives side by side so that the start of the scales were at the same point. Yes, the exposed blade is the same length. The scales on the BK2 are a bit longer and end in the equivalent of an exposed hammer/striking surface.

The basic difference is that the Afghan fit my grip nicely and the BK2 did not.

Next, I compared the fit of the Afghan into the Ontario TFI factory sheath. Although it fit, the top restraint snap would not fit. Although not necessarily important today, the aftermarket Afghan kydex sheath is much wider - and the TFI factory sheath is ok as a sheath.

Finally, I examined why I have made the TFI my go to knife (in multiples). The blade is not as wide. This means that the scales are not as wide (by wide, I mean from the top of the blade to the bottom or the top of the scales to the bottom of the scales). The scales on the TFI fit my hand better. Moreover, there is an exposed striking surface at the back of the full tang.

Yes, I do have large hands. Yet the TFI fits the best.
