Today i stumbled upon the following site:

http://www.cultur.nu/knivar/index.shtml

Click on the knives to the left. Each knife hides part of a really impressive knife collection. The owner even added how much he paid for each knife (at least that's what i think he has written on the first page, i don't read swedish...).

Haven't checked the link yet but I am a big fan of Scandinavian knives. Great design and tradition from the simplest to the most embellished knives.

My Scandinavian (and Scandinavian influenced) knives are some of my favorite fixed blades.

Posted the same link on BRL's forum. There the remark quickly came that the guy from that site probably doesn't own all these knives, but only logs online scandinavian knife sales. Sounds plausible... I've sent the swedish guy a mail to ask him...

I can't read a word of it, but there are some nice knives photographed there.

Like he's creating an auction price database. Otherwise, if those are from a single collection, I'll be very impressed.

I got an answer from Anders, the guy that built the site, stating that he owns only a small part of the knives shown. He tracks down sales of Swedisch knives on the Bay and on Swedish auction sites and logs them on that site. Still quite interesting though.

A fine archive of knives, some really nice models from here(Finland) but some of the prices are an eye-opener!
