Hi all, I'm really excited about this next folder and wanted to show where I am with it. The blade is also going to be clay tempered and the clay is drying right now, will HT tomorrow. Anyways, the right slab is carbon steel with copper and brass bars, left slab is copper. More soon.

Wow. Very unique. Love the textures. Looks like it's 100 years old already.

I love your stuff. For some reason, I'd really love to see you make a set of custom brass knuckles some time, I think that would go well together with your style. Enough about that though, now I'm just gonna enjoy the excellent WIP going on in this thread.

Dr Heelhook haha that would be fun.

Blade is clayed up, ready for HT.

More tomorrow.

This is fantastic; it's futuristic, yet looks antique at the same time. Waiting to see the finished product.

I apologize for not getting more pics made of the process, but the good news is that the folder is finished. This one will be available for sale on my website in a few days when I make a sheath for it. "Imprisoned" was ALOT of work, but I think it came out well. Hope you guys like it!

"Imprisoned"
No. 263
Steel: Clay Tempered 1080
Handle: Left scale is textured and antiqued copper.
Right scale is heavily textured and antiqued carbon steel with a copper "vein" and brass bars.
Spacer: Textured bronze.
Overall Length: 5 3/4"
Blade Length: 2 3/8"

I just want to say a few words as to what made me call this folder with it's name. To me, the copper scale, with it's vertical grooves and an arched shape represents a dungeon, the vertical grooves are of course cells. I can almost see a shape of an unfortunate person in each... The obverse side, shows a prisoner, disfigured from years of imprisonment digging his way out, straining with all his might to escape.

Once again I'm impressed with your skill and creativity!

Очень здорово сделано!

'Escape from Alcatraz' was on a couple of nights ago. What a great movie.
Gorgeous knife, Serge.

Work of art, that texturing is hard to get right and you hit the nail on the head!!!

Look forward to seeing more from you.
