Here are the first pics of the Improved Hiker for 2010. It features the same dimensions as the old model (8 1/4" oal, 4" blade) but has the handle shape of the Anniversary Knife (thanks, C Bryant!) It also features a slightly pointier blade. These will go for $135.00, and this one is available. Let`s hear your thoughts.

Awesome. I predict that this model will become a mainstay of your line. I'm really liking the combination of pointy, centred tip and AK-style handle.

Best,

Very nice! If I hadn't just sent you the check for the Scout Jr, I would be jumping on this one. Something to look forward to in the new year.

Damn that's nice. I'll bet a Backup version would be sweet too.

That's very nice, I like my old hiker a lot but that looks like a good replacement.

Yep....one of the great things about the Anniversary EDC is the handle. Blended in nice in this size.

I really like the look of this John. Great job. This looks like the knife Kephart had hoped to make.

I bought and received this knife from John. It is one fine piece of work. I have never handled an original Hiker, so I cannot compare. The knife really fits my hand nice. It is really shaped well. John does really fine work, from design, to grinds, to the leather work on the sheath. I have not got to try the knife out yet, but I would highly recommend it to anyone.
