Improving Action of Brous Bionic

I recently got a Bionic. While I really like the design, the action has felt pretty rough. Many people have noticed similar issues from what I've read, so I figured I'd work it out for myself and share the results. I polished the flats of the knife, just so that the detent path would be smoother. I don't have my Tuf Glide (left it at my apartment and I'm staying with my family for the holidays) but the knife is flipping smoothly with no lubrication. I can't wait to see how it gets when I can lube the detent :D

Mine was rough too, glad you posted a fix. I have mine flipping much better now as well.

Another aspect of the knife I'm having trouble getting used to is the hostile flipper LZ (landing zone for finger doing flipping). It's ripping my finger up pretty good. Wish it wasn't so sharp. I don't know how to improve that without messing up the colored ano finish. But I love the knife so much that I'll keep it anyway!

I agree, the jimping is way too rough :( Fixing that might be my next project :D

I ordered another Bionic in a different configuration, so I didn't feel bad rubbing the edges down a little. I got a little lazy with it, so I ended up taking off more of the coating than necessary. Still not too much off, and the jimping is much easier on my finger now. Here's how it looks now.

I might have to give that a try, would probably be worth seeing some small bald spots in order to be able to flip without worrying about jimping.
