Flashlight fans will want to know about this. I just got some WriteRight film for my Ipaq and now realize that it has a higher calling: improving output of flashlights as well as decreasing scratches of Lexasn lenses.

Look HERE on candlepower forums. This really works.

I put some of this stuff on my Maglites 2 and 3 D cells(with Carley bulbs. Thanks Dr. Welch),my Brinkmann LX,and my Makita 14.4 volt xenon worklight.Man oh man,did it ever work great. The LX had a nice beam to begin with, but the film cleaned up the beam a little. The Makita had the most splotchy and ringed beam of all my lights, and now the beam is fantastic.A nice uniform bright spot ,with a dimmer, but clean outer halo. The mags are my favorite though. The beam was bright but loaded with dark rings before. Now, when focused down to a bright point, the beam makes a perfect bright X shape that really reaches out.
I wasn't using my Maglights very much before, but I use them all the time now because of the improvement.Plus, now I dont have to worry about the lenses being scratched.

I've put clear contect-paper on all my Mags
( (3) Mini-Mags, (2) Solitaire, 2D, 3D Mag (RS Xenon Lamp) )
The change is AWESOME! it's a wonderful round light, and
very little loss of light if any. It's alittle harder for me
to see long off with me 3D, but I can see more at once because
I don't have to aim a "hot spot" on what I want to look at.

I'm not sure how much better the WriteRight film works, but
simi-clear (I haven't tryied the REALLY clear stuff) Contect
Paper works so well I'm not going to worry about it.

You've got to try this!!!

P.S. My packing-tape (the clear 2" wide stuff) didn't work,
I think It has to be alittle less then clear.
