So I did my first round of hand sanding and made a quick little sanding block thing I thought might help someone out. I had a piece of oak that I was using originally and thought I would be able to get a little more aggressive if I had some more solid backing like a piece of metal. I just ran the piece of oak over a 2 inch belt and glued a piece of iron from Lowe's on top of it. So the sandpaper fits in the slot between the metal and oak and helps kind of lock it in. It worked well because I can improve my puny plunge lines with the metal side and switch to wood for the wet/dry higher grit hand sanding.
Nothing groundbreaking and probably not 100% original but I just want to share something back and contribute instead of being an information leech.
