improving speedsafe

I absent mindly (ok ok, curiousity drove me to it) spydie-dropped my kershaw avalanche, and now the speed safe seems to work a lot faster. Any ideas on how this might be?

it probably loosened the pivot just a tiny bit, due to the impact. or maybe it stretched the spring but then that would've been one hell of a spydie drop...
