I found another good reason to keep a section of para cord around today. Today was a beautiful Autumn day and since i had nothing going on first thing I took the morning and went fishing. Not a cloud in the sky and nice colors to view.
This little guy kept hanging around
I wasn't having any luck on lures so I resorted to an old stand-by...dough-balls made by wetting crackers.
Then I realized I no longer had the stringer in my pack pack...however I did have some para cord. I melted the end of the para cord into a point, and a quick slit in the thin skin under the lower jaw and viola an improvised stringer.
The little bee wouldn't shoo off of my bait so i shoved him into it. Does that make this a hybrid fly?
I only caught a few but it was enough for a meal
