For some reason I surfed over to Amazon and typed in "Buck 110". The first thing to come up was a Buck Knives Al Buck Founders Edition Folding Hunters Knife with Limited Edition Collector's Tin. Cost was $19.99 + $4.99 shipping. So for a total of $24.98, I couldn't resist. I remember seeing these at Walmart last year, but I couldn't find anything like it this year when I was shopping for a 110. Seemed like a good deal. Is this the same knife as the regular 110, only with the embellishments. I'm particularly interested to know if it's the regular 420HC steel. Thanks for any info.

Tin Sue,

Thanks for confirming that.

It's such a deal, that I just went there and bought the remaining five of them. It came to a total of $106.90 including shipping. Dang, thats only $21.40 ea. They will make great gifts down the road.

I ordered five also for $106.94.....said they were in stock too and that was after your post.....how did you determine you got the last five?

Hmmm, when I went there, it said five available, so I just assumed that was all of them.

I just went back there to check and sure enough the listing shows up again and says five available. I hope this dealer isn't selling the same five over and over!

Yeah. I hope he is OK....His feedback was good but as we know this a last years tins and how many can he have around? Let me know when you get your five and I will do the same for you.....Thanks

That's the Founders Edition 110??? I thought last year it was the Founders Edition 112...(I have one, in the tin, unopened...next to two Commemorative Set 110's, in the tin, unopened)...

I bought my first one in January 2008, they were on sale at Walmart, left overs from 2007.

Wal-Mart...Well, that explains it...My Wal-Mart seems to have stopped selling Buck knives...just Remington set now...

Hey, Amazon has 5 left! :D

My local Walmart still sells some Bucks year round, but they didn't have anything but the Remington's as Xmas specials this last year.

Glad you guys liked the deal...well as long as you get them that is.:D I'm not sure what feature allows you to see how many are left. When I bought mine, it just said "In Stock". I think what you might be seeing is the line stating that they knife is available, and that you are purchasing "5".

Feedback was good, so I'm not concerned at this point. I'll post when I receive the knife.

Plumberdv,

I think my edit overlapped with you last post. Do you think what I posted above is a possibility?

I think you're right. When I do a search for Buck 110, it comes up as the third item down. Next to the sellers name it says "see all five items". I clicked on that and sure enough, he has five different items listed.

Just wanted to update concerning the above "quantity" issues. Received notice that my knife shipped today.

Same here, UPS, 7.1 LBS. That seems about right for five of them. Delivery scheduled for the 16th.

Yes, I too got the UPS shipping data, so something is on the way to all of us......The one lady who wrote a review commented on the fact the plastic package was beat up, so perhaps that has something to do with how the guy has so many to sell?? We will see by the end of the week if they are good.....

Me too. I stumbled across this thread Sunday and figured, what the heck. Ordered from NGK at the same time, and recieved shipping notifications from both yesterday. Any place that's on par with NGK bodes well in my book. We'll see. It's supposed to be here tomorrow.
