Arrrgghh

If I ordered one in Oct. '99, am I to expect the old style (straight) handle or the new (angled) one? I'm really hooked on the old(er) design, but I suppose I could grow to love the new one. My primary concern about the new design is if it is a cosmetic feature or if there is in fact any ergonomic value to it. If the angled handle is better (ergonomically) then I won't sweat it if Jerry's filling orders with it. Otherwise, if it is and I'm still getting the older (classic) model, I'll still shed a tear of joy when it arrives. (but would it be to late to get the straight handled model with the quilted micarta slabs

?

I think that the new handle style will lend itself to better chopping power due to the hand being in a more natural position, much like a khukuri. Stabbing power may suffer a little.

I just got mine and it's the old style straight handle. Will probably get one of the new style handles also in the near future.

Strabs...you'll probably get the new design, as will most folks on order with Busse direct. If you REALLY want the old style, just let Jerry know via e-mail and I'm sure he can accommodate you. Most folks have written in and stated they would wait longer (can you believe it

) if they can get the new style over the old.

Yours in handle modifications...

Thanks for the info Andy. I suppose that if the new hand position is better for chopping and overall feel and balance, the new model it is
