The zt 560 vs zt 550 one to me is a true bells and whistle blade and the other looks to be a edc tank thoughts please

P.s ( zt 560 ) I can't stop flipping this thing 😝

I think I understand what you are saying, let me know if I get it right. You are saying that the ZT0550 is a real plain jane work horse with out as many embellishments as the ZT0560. If you are saying that the ZT0550 is every bit the knife that the ZT0560 is without the "bells and whistles" (flipper, ball bearing washers, 3D machined G10 and Titanium). If that is what you are saying, then yes, I agree.

Maybe you could give us your thoughts, because I'm not terribly sure of what you are getting at.

I have a 0551 in my arsenal, which honestly does not get much love, and recently sold my 0560. And I almost never sell a knife. No biggie - they just don't float my boat.

I have a 0551, 0560, a 0561, as well as several other ZT blades. I would think all would qualify as an EDC "tank". As in overbuilt or far better built than most knives carried for "EDC" purposes by mear mortals. But not one of them came with a bell nor a whistle; though one of my TOPs did.

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing the 0560 could have done without is so much skelentonizing. I know many love it, but I like the feel of a heftly solid blade. The 0560 may be every bit as strong as the 0300 or 0550 series, but it feels less robust due to the lack of weight and hollow sound from being skeletonized.

Well Its kind of hard for me to compare do to the fact I don't have a 0550 that's why I did this post to see if it's worth the buy. But I do have a 560 as well as a 300,301, and 350. And I got to say I love my 560 only the length being a problem its just to long for edc to me. And when it comes down to weight issue I think it's cool cause it's light but strong I think the reason the weight may be a issue is cause of how long it is while being light. Compared to the 300 if it was sports we were comparing then the 560 is more like a finess HIGH SCORING basket ball star and the 300 a pro bowl run u over running back all power. So with that I was wondering is it worth getting a 550. With in mind I don't collect knives I use knives

So...if you have a "run u over" 300, then do you really need an "edc tank" 550?

But if you like the ZTs, then I say go and buy the 560....add another knife to your collection!
