Interesting that you should ask that. Cocobolo actually is a rosewood (as is much of the Dalbergia genus). But it's not quite the same as this big ol' chunk of Honduran rosewood burl I just happen to have sitting around right now:

Thanks. That's 6" x 6" x 3" - I'll get a few really nice knife handles out of that. A friend who was holding it in his hands last week said "it ought to be a crime to cut it." Yep, but you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs.
