Wow. Seriously, too good to pass up.

Email sent on 12 inch 9 ounce baby Chitlangi by Kumar.

How lucky are we today? Thank you, Yangdu, and send my wishes to Pala for a safe journey.

Sorry, Tom. If it hadn't been Neem and such a bargain, I'd have let it pass by.

That Kothimoda is outstanding. I would be happy with just the khuk and a regular scabbard even. Just look at that antler!

Wow, a Royal Kothimoda for $225! Half price right there. And a Katana for $65 off even the sale price! Great prices.

Just realized that the difference is that this Kothimoda is antler instead of bone, which is much more durable. Wish I had had this option when I got mine.

Astounding. Good luck to all the sharks-a-swimmin. I just sent the e-mail on yesterdays Salyan Special!!! Today I must rest. Happy hunting!

Hi all,

Been lurking in the HI forum for a year. You folks have such a nice community.
Just ordered my first HI a few minutes ago - the 16.5 inch 18 ounce WWII by Bura w/Neem wood handle.

Thank you Yangdu for the great deal.

Looking forward to conversing with you all.

Katana, WWII and Chitlangi gone.

Email sent on the Katana by Bura>>>>>>>>> Semper fi

There's a well respected and much liked forumite, an old Marine, getting a Katana. That sorta makes me feel good.

I don't have a use for a Katana, but I think old Marines do....not sure why..don't let me get in hot water....

Semper, if it's your first; congratulations. If it's not; congratulations.

SAK, welcome, and I have to say you picked a perfect time to make your first buy! That is a great knife, and neem wood no less! Very few of those in that model so far, the dark neem is way prettier, and you are starting with the knife that many consider to be one of the best all around work knives.

And the $62 price doesn't hurt at all...

Regards,

Norm

This is my first Katana. I have no real use for it other than I just wanted one. I have to admit I am a real sucker for anything with Bura's name on it. IMHO, he is the best of the best at HI and anything he makes I tend to covet.

As for the Katana, I think I may give it to my son on his return from Iraq. He likes knives and this Katana will make a nice Christmas gift me thinks.

Is your son a Marine, Semper? It will make a fine gift and be meaningful, I think.

It is not coincidence that the Bill Martino Memorial Salyan was done by Bura. I think Bura was Bill's favorite. I wasn't surprised to see the Yangdu special done by Sher, either, though I'm not knowing if that's her favorite.

I don't know how Bura keeps doing it. Seems to me he is nearly or already back to where he was pre-stroke.

God, I've been after a nice BAS for a while. Too bad. My HIKV fund is a little low.
