I'm seeing a lot of posters from the Kentucky, Ohio & especially Indiana. I don't have the property for it but would anybody be up for a get together maybe in a State or National Park? I can bring some good food and a 2burner propane stove for breakfast.

How about a knife makers swap meet............carl...........and cook out........I have 2 acres on 7 miles creek we could use.........

I'm just puttin a bug in some ears/minds I'd probably prefer to wait till it cools off a bit to make an evening fire more "civilized" and give us an excuse for all the choppin that's bound to be going on. If I get 4 weeks worth of lead time and I am apt to bring a few gallons of homebrew too. I'm not opposed to turning it into a baby hammer-in if it starts leaning that way.
My personal range to roam is a hair over 200 miles from Cincy that makes it an easy overnight or long day trip.

Sounds like fun:)

Depending when and where it is, I'd be down for a meet-n-greet:thumbup: My main sticking point is birth of my daughter in like 6ish weeks:p so I might have a problem breaking away.

I'm in Bloomington, so I'm down within a couple of hundred miles, too! No forge or anvil, but I have a few acres and a grill, too! :) And wood to chop.

Terre Haute, but I can't really travel far on my own... so unless I can get a ride with someone nearby, it would have to be near me for me to attend...
I would love to make one though. I always like to put faces to the names on the screen.

My house is a wreck inside but I have a decent sized yard that we could use and a grill. I have a small forge and anvil (chunk of rail) as well.

I'm a little east of you guys but would like to get together with some blade brothers. I could brave the Ohio roads again for something like this if it weren't too far. I'll check back on this post to see what shakes loose. Good idea Ray and thanks for bringing it up.

KRBurke, looks like Bloomington is about as equidistant as we're likely to get if it isn't too far for Warty & Steely_Gunz? Think of the poor metal detectors if we get those 2 in the same location:eek:
Bloomington is also good and close to Nashville IN which is a good place to drop off I mean appease the non-interested spousal units. For those who have to drive a ways I can recommend a few excellent Bed & Breakfast's in Nashville IN. And if we wait till cooler weather the street shopping in Nashville is fun for them if not our bank accounts.
Let's keep kicking this around?

Sorry it took me so long to read your post. If we want to set up a get together in Bloomington, I'm in. Nashville is a pretty nice place to let the spouses spend some quality money....errr...time :) Nationally famous tenderloins and good shopping. Let me know what comes to mind.

I'm in WV we've done it before in Dayton

Bloomington is in reach for me easily, I would be there for sure if it was there.

All I need is a date now.

Nashville would call for a ride for me but Mr. Burke and I have already discussed this sort of arrangement.

wait, Nashville IN? I would need to look up where that is to know for sure if it was in my range...

Warty look up 1875 Homestead never mind http://www.1875homestead.com/ nice Bed & Breakfast and Nashville Indiana is very nice shopping with a stroller with a newborn. I think the plan is to wait till it cools off a bit to make a fire feasible & comfortable. Sorry got confused the newborn & stroller comment was meant for Steely

Good call. I have a firepit out back by the barn, or we could bonfire. Wood, fire, food, khuks and kooks (good company). Sounds like the good times are percolating!

Although my wifely unit just informed me that the best shopping is at the edinburgh outlet mall. I had forgotten that (it really is, all the good stuff and it's pretty inexpensive compared to a regular mall) That's a bit farther away, though.

Oh, and I have plenty of room for camping.

Well, then as time comes closer, I will see what happens and decide what to do then. :)

I'd be interested myself. I live in Southern IL but Bloomington wouldn't be too long of a drive.
