Remembering Uncle Bill and Rusty
3-28-09%20003.jpg

March 28 will always be a sad day for me as I remember the passing of both my beloved husband, Uncle Bill,
and our close friend and forum moderator, Rusty, 12 hours later.

Uncle Bill fell victim to cancer and Rusty did not recover from a pneumonia attack. The strange coincidence of
their deaths 12 hours apart will never leave me.

Uncle Bill and I had 23 delightful years together, full of happiness as partners in life and in business. The saddest day of my life was when I had to tell my life's partner goodbye four years ago.

Please give each of them a special thought today so they will know that we still love them and they are not
forgotten and we are trying to carry on what Uncle Bill started. Thank you all.

This anniversary has been floating in my mind for the past few weeks. Bill and Rusty, your presence is still with us and your projects carry on. Hopefully our paths will cross again...

Smoke sent. :)

Uncle Bill and Rusty will be in my thoughts and prayers today.
I hope HI and its members can continue to carry on Uncle Bill's and Yangdu's vision long into the future.

We remember Bill and Rusty today... a lot of people are the better for knowing them.

Mike

It seems even now, their actions echo through time and resonate with folks who've never even met them, folks such as myself.
They deserve nothing short of the immortality they have in the memories of folks they touched, and continue to touch after their passing.
Yandgu carries on what Bill started with superlativity. Peace be with her today.

Not just today, but every day I touch one of my Khukris, every day I see the devanagari characters for "H.I" or the "U.B.", every time I add the word "Aunt" before Yangdu's name, every time I visit this forum or every time I visit the HI website, I remember and am awed by what Uncle Bill and Rusty and Aunt Yangdu have been and still are to me, and to so many others in so many ways. There is not a more inspiring legacy that anyone could aspire to leave.

Yangdu,

I can only hope that Ed and I have as many Wonderful years together as Yourself and Uncle Bill!

Candles lit in memory of both Uncle Bill, and Rusty.....

Auntie Yangdu, know that you are as well, in our thoughts today, as always!

Blessed Be!
Sandra & Ed

I knew this one was coming up. Smoke and prayers for two of the finest.

I have great memories of forum threads and purchases from those days. Posts with mentions of fried squirrel brains, debt is good, bears, and one-legged dancing girls still bring a smile. I also remember Uncle Bill's work every time we have a raffle for Ram. Both Uncle Bill and Rusty influenced my life back then... and still do today :).

Thoughts and prayers out from Wyoming

Never knew Uncle Bill or Rusty, but all of my HI blades have a "U.B." on them. When my girlfriend died of cancer, she gave me her Tibetan prayer bowl & suggested I ring it to send up a prayer. Here's a ring for Uncle Bill & Rusty....

She also left me this tapestry... dunno what it is, but I'll send it up as well...
