What Is Wrong I Am In Bad Need Of A 6-48 Tap And I Can Not Believe I Can Not Locate One If Anyone Has One Or Knows Where I Can Get One That Would Be Great Thanks Alot

I thought for sure I'd be able to come up with a source quick-fast-in-a-hurry but DAMN if there aren't any to be found!

How weird is that?

Anyone else know where to find these?

BTW, is it my browser, or is every first letter of your words capitalized?

ok great ill give mcmaster a whirl. my directions are saying to use a #32 drill bit for the 6-48 tap but from what i understand its a #31 kinda confused on that one?

I thought I had some but they are 6-32 not the 48. Sorry. Hope you find what you need.

MSC has them. http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT?PMPXNO=1735531&PMT4NO=6264511

If anyone's not familiar with MSC, you need to be. They have around a 4" thick catalog with any and all tools, and also have a lot of raw materials like steels, plastics, carbon, etc, etc. They have all of the shop stuff of McMaster Carr, and all of the electrical stuff of Grainger. They are truely one stop shopping. I can order until 9:00 pm and get stuff the next day. The place is incredible.

If for some reason McMaster Carr doesn't have the tap, try some of the gun smith supply places such as Brownells. 6-48 is a typical gun screw size.
