In need of a skilled Hog to sharpen my ZT300

I always feel awkward discussing other knives here, but I don't venture too far from this section to those "other" shady areas of Bladeforums. Is there anyone more skilled than me in the area of sharpening a recurve ZT-300 that wouldn't mind taking on the task for me? I used it to field dress some pheasant and apparently whacked it on something, thus denting/chipping the blade (inferior garbage.. I know). The chips then resulted in tiny rust spots on an otherwise very sharp edge. Could anyone remedy this for me?

A recurve blade that probably needs grinding flat on the edge until the chips are removed and then re-creating the edge so that it is uniform and in line with the original grind is probably best done on a 1 inch belt sander allowing for the knife being a small blade folder. The best guy for a wicked edge using this sort of sander is probably Horn Dog.

He takes in sharpening jobs and always has satisfied customers ....

He is a mod on the Scrapyard Forum and probably best found over there ....

Horn Dog. Ok thanks. He hangs around there, more than here? Thanks!

I use my Edge Pro Apex with a 1/2" stone to sharpen my ZTs successfully and consistently. Recurves are a cinch. Just FYI.

Blasted and tumbled it, then removed some of the recurve and convexed it.

It's fun.

Look up Nick Rossi or send it Tom Krein is cheap and fast and is a MONSTER!!!

Tom stopped taking in regrind work a few months ago, don't know if he has started that up again.

The Spyderco Sharpmaker is easy to use, and will work just fine on recurves.

like I said when I sold it to you, send back whenever you like for free sharpenings.
