  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Could someone please tell me how I can read my messages. I am a new member and am showing to have 5 messages but have no idea how to get to them to read them. I have also tried to change my user name and cannot get that accomplished either and I paid the $10.00 fee to do so. This site for me has thus far been very confusing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

At the top of the page, just below the Blade forums logo, there is a row of icons. Clicking on the one that looks like an envelope should bring up a list of "conversations" which is what they're calling messages these days. Clicking on the one beside your picture will bring up your profile page where you can see any visitor messages that have been left for you.

As far as the name change, you've basically done what you can...
It is, unfortunately, something that seems to take some time - sometimes it's fairly quick (a day or two), other times it seems to take weeks.
I won't speak for why that is the case on this site; but I know that on a site I used to moderate, the owner waited til he had several to do.

I believe what you are referring to as messages is actually your post count. True messages/conversations would show under the envelope icon

Thank you gentlemen for your input. I guess I just ain't smart enough to figure these things out. Never have been very computer savvy. :)
