Hey guys sorry is this is something that can be found easily. I am looking for a small leather pouch to slip a slipjoint into to protect it in my pocket from keys, lint ect something without a belt loop, snap ect Any suggestions?

Case also make some suede pouches that have a velcro closure:

I took the Case large suede pouch and cut off all the velcro and sewed the sides to make a little slip sleeve. I really like it because it keeps the knife vertical in my pocket (the suede is grippy on the fabric) and I can pull the knife out without even taking the pouch out of my pocket most of the time.

This can easily be selfmade... just a piece of leather, an awl, a stichting needl and some twist... (I hope, I chose the right words)

You should soak the leather in water for some time, so it gets not that stiff. Then punch the holes with an awl ... and stitch all together.

Mine was made during half an hour. Not the perfect sheath - but it protects from keys and coins. At a prize range of not even 5 $.

Kind regards
Andi

some have embossing which is not to my taste. I like the simple ones made by Fontenille Pataud.

I don't love the idea of keeping a folding knife in a sheath but I accept it is a necessary evil.

This site has some very reasonably priced leather pocket sheaths.

Gents, BF has service provider members who make custom sheaths.
Here is a listing of them.

BF also has dealer members, many of whom sell sheaths. Here is a list of those.

If the site or dealer you have been talking about is not on one of those lists, you will likely find that your post has been edited to remove the citation.

Another solution is to cut a finger out of a leather work glove and use it as a pouch.

A great idea! My regular pocket knives rob me of coins by them sticking between the blades and liners and falling out when the knife is opened.Recently started using a 'coin purse' just on account of this. And my Hubertus & Boker automatics accumulate pocket lint and trash that interferes with their proper operation.Your idea would take care of these problems. If turned 'rough side out' the pouch would be likely to stay in the pocket rather than come out with the knife.I have an assortment of worn out work and welding gloves to experiment with, some fingers on them are sure to make a good fit for my pocket knives. Thanks and best regards.

SMK was correct in that this pocket sheath thread has been done multiple times. Do a search on pocket sheaths.......The moderators are being kind.....one more time for show...but you will have to make most of them yourself.

PS I will try to save this post so in 6 months or so we can easily answer the question again. 300Bucks

This was a commerical offering by a forum member (Ron) but the last time I looked his website didn't show them. But gives you idea. He had plain slips also.

I tried the monofilament method but prefer the first photo method which uses 'Super' braid fishing line, I believe I use my old scout skills of lanyard braiding and weave three or four filaments together. I haven't ever had one break, I use 30 lb test. I seal knot areas up with fly head cement but super glue will work. You can buy the pouches from several sorces, check knife web stores. But I like the glove idea......where did I put all those lefties....

And last, another action that would preclude a pocket sheath, at least in certain type of pants. If your pockets are made large enough, so this can be done, sew the pocket material together so there is a small internal slip or pouch along the seam. Then slide your knife in that. If you use only a small amount of effort to keep coinage out of the slip you should be ok......and keeps the knife over under the pant seam.
