This is one of the great knife designs of all time. It's the perfect size for EDC. Not too big, not too small, just right!

The fact that many of my knife carrying buddies have chosen it over all others is a testament to it's utility. It just seems to be good for most everyday cutting chores.

The guys I speak of are not particularly knife knuts but they rely on the Scallion for most knife duties. The blade steel works for them (I'd like something a little higher end) in that it can take a lot of abuse and is easy to sharpen. One of them asked me to put a new edge on his CE since it was a little dull.

Dull isn't quite the word for it...although the serrations were fine, the PE section was beat to death! Lots of nicks, and overall wear. About five minutes on a medium Arkansas and it was as good as new!

I've really grown to love this knife.

You are right Fishtale they are pretty cool and just right for EDC. It is one of my favs as well .

Yup, the Scallion is a great little knife. I actually prefer its shape and proportions to the Chive and (dare I say it?) the Leek. I would love to see it and the Mini Mojito with some higher end steel in a couple of sprint runs.

my buddy has the scallion. it goes everywhere with him. it has gotten the crap knocked out of it, but it still works. i know he likes it.

The unassuming Scallion is what made me into a Kershaw nut. I bought one for myself, then Sandy confiscated it for herself, then I bought another. At a meeting with a new client, he had a UPS box that needed to be opened...so the Scallion came out. He loved it, so I went and bought one for him as a gift. Since then, I've bought about a dozen for customers, and they all rave about the little knife.

And kneedeep, if we beat this enough, do you think Kershaw would do a sprint run on the Mini Mojito? I mean this is about the umpeenth time I've asked about a MM or a Scallion done up in the latest steels...

*pulls out a whip and a 2x4* = so we can beat this thread enough to get Kershaw to do a sprint run!
