In search of a D2 folder with an uncoated blade. Suggestions?

I own a dozen or so locking folders, and the Griptilian feels the best in my hand by far. Unfortunately they feel the need to coat the blade on the D2 version from Cabelas.

For a larger knife, the 710D2 fits my needs, but I'd like something of griptilian size or smaller. (not smaller than a mini-grip)

I'm aware of the BM960 but would prefer something without aluminum scales. (I have no experience with aluminum on knives. Am I overly concerned about scratching?)

Liner locks are my last choice but I don't rule them out.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them :D

this is probably not what you want to hear, but i have a queen cutlery trapper that is uncoated D2... far from a tactical knife, but it's exactly the blade you want

Yes, the Dozier Thorn has aluminum scales...but there are simply not a whole lot of production folders in D2; at least not yet.

And it's a liner lock, but it's a little different than the usual liner lock.

And it's a great knife.

Another suggestion is the Queen Mountain Man Lockback in D2. That is a great knife too; very different from the Thorn. (Queen is made in the USA, BTW.)

Of course you can always go custom...

KaBar Dozier designed Thorn. Its a great knife and as close to carrying a pocket scalpel as it gets. The only draw back for me on this one is the tip down carry.
Easily fixed though.

Seki Cut Bob Lum Mini Encounter- uncoated D2, black micarta scales, dual stainless liners, single thumb stud, ugly pocket clip(!) :)
