For over a year now, I've been carrying an EagleTac D25C and have really liked it. But, I am looking for something different to alternate in and out as well. I've been looking at the Sunwayman V11R and M11R as well as the Zebralight SC52 L2. I'm not really looking for a barn burner as far as output (I'll fire a 16340 into the D25C for that).

I'm leaning towards the M11R because, quite frankly, I think it looks cool. But, I like the more available output levels of the Zebralight and especially the V11R. If you were me, which would you choose?

I would personally go with the Zebralight. My only reasoning is because I love mine and can't see how I ever lived without mine. My Zebralight has never failed me and has been hands down my favorite light of all time.

I do love the way the Zebralight looks and the fact that it takes a more common cell than the CR123. The only thing keeping me from jumping straight to the SC52 is the continuously variable output of the V11R.

If that's a big selling point for you then the V11R might be for you. I personally do not need the continuously variable output as the Zebralight offers enough options for me and I have it set exactly how I like it.

I have owned and still own one Sunway man. It is the C15A. I use it daily as my dog walking light and beater light which it works great for, but I have had some problems with it acting up. If I turn the ON/OFF button upside down it will cause it to malfunction. Sometimes it will malfunction randomly. I enjoy using it, but would never rely on it as my one and only light for say daily carrying or camping. I have also never once seen the low voltage indicator work. I will say the fit and finish of my C15A is excellent and very precise.

I'm not trying to sway you away from the V11R, but figured I would mention my experience with my Sunwayman.

I forgot to mention if you have a problem with the Sunwayman you will have to ship it to China for warranty work.

Have you heard of the 4Sevens Atom? It comes in single CR123, AAA and AA. Some have a neodymium magnet at the end to stick on stuff... I gave mine away but I am about to purchase another, it's just that good

I thought about an Atom to keep around the house just for the magnetic tail. I don't know how much I'd like a magnet that strong mingling with other stuff in my pockets (phone, keys, credit cards, etc.).
