Old is what I like; what facinates me.
So, after several years of not doing much (hurricane Ike helped...), my shop is back in order and I'm completeing what was on my bench when I pretty much "walked on down the hall".
This is an English hunter (or bowie by some standards) outta scraps. I finished it just to brush up; no glue. The guard is driven nickel silver as are the pins. The hafting is Macassar rosewood and some Axis deer scraps for the butt. The 7+ inch blade is tapered tang 5160 complete with some mill flaws. My new motto is "imperfect products for an imperfect world".
Even my pix are bad.... best to keep continuity.
