Old is what I like; what facinates me.

So, after several years of not doing much (hurricane Ike helped...), my shop is back in order and I'm completeing what was on my bench when I pretty much "walked on down the hall".

This is an English hunter (or bowie by some standards) outta scraps. I finished it just to brush up; no glue. The guard is driven nickel silver as are the pins. The hafting is Macassar rosewood and some Axis deer scraps for the butt. The 7+ inch blade is tapered tang 5160 complete with some mill flaws. My new motto is "imperfect products for an imperfect world".

Even my pix are bad.... best to keep continuity.

Mitch, I think that's a great re-entry knife:thumbup: I like it a lot. So good to see you back up and running in the shop.

Looking forward to seeing more!

Anvilring, I have been away from the forum and done not much either for a few years. I came back tonight and saw your head and thought nothing has changed. I actually came back looking for Peter Nap last week he asked me about kangaroo hide whips years ago and I finnally stumbled across two makers in two weeks.
Nice knife it has a good old world look.
