What is a reasonable fee to sharpen a 2.5 inch serrated blade that is made by someone else? This is a production knife (Spyderco) and belongs to a fellow worker.

Doing it for free is out of the question (I have to generate income somehow) but I don't want to 'hose' the guy either.

Any input would be appreciated in any currency you choose (except for service script, piasters or Pesos).

I've found that the good will you gain by sharpening a friend's knife for free is worth alot more than the $5 you might get from them. I don't charge folks as long as they don't bring over a box full.

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!http://www.nebsnow.com/L6steel
