A quick update........am happily ensconced at Uncle Wallace's home for happy whitetails......Got in yesterday and sat a nice stand with Wallace.?...Just at dark I took a two hundred yard shot and just creased a nice but speedy buck....Two seconds later Wallace nailed a nice doe standing alongside......Spent a fruitless hour tracking the buck's blood and even this morning could not find anything much past what we found last night.......Wallace figures I creased the brisket..... No luck this morning........will be back in a tree this afternoon......

Will be catching up on phone calls and stuff monday or tuesday......

Never fun losing one, I lost a big bodied 6 pointer with a bow earlier in the year. I know I got at least one lung but the angle was steep and might have came out low on the far side. It happens, better luck the rest of the trip.
