Well I am in the market for a bowie knife. I currently have several large fixed blades but truthfully only use one as a serious bush blade. That being the UC SEAL Machete in ATS34. All that being said I have been looking on ebay a ton. Some look good but othere not only look good but command high prices.

So here is the deal, the one on ebay I am seriously considering is the old style Marbles trailmaster bowie. 52-100 steel, stag crown and handle. Big blade but supposedly of good quality. I am looking at a few others but am open to opinions and suggestions. Keepem sharp and thanks

PS This blade with get some use but probably not an over abundance of use.

price range?

If you can afford it, try out the Camillus OVB Fisk Bowie.

i would recommend a BRKT Rogue Bowie--had one for awhile and is the best knife i own--workmanship is outstanding and customer service is the greatest  :)

Have you looked at the Western W-49 Bowie ? I found an old one at an antique shop years ago. Don't remember what I paid for it, but it wasn't much. STOUT KNIFE !! Marty.

Here's a tip: Don't even look at the Smith & Wesson Search & Rescue Bowie. Sure it looks good. Yeah, it does have a great feel to it. But I just had a guy try to bring one back with the tang broken right at the guard. He said it snagged on a seatbelt while getting out of the car. Probably not true, but that was still a mighty thin tang.
You probably weren't going to consider this anyway, but I had to rant to someone.
