In the market for something like this...

Not too many fans for chisel grinds round these parts. Some don't like that it can cause uneven cuts because of the different angles on each side. Others EDC chisel grind knives and don't see any issue with that at all. I must admit, if you're looking for very precise cuts, chisel grinds might not be the best option. However, the knife you were originally looking at doesn't seem to be for precise cuts anyway.

Another possible negative about those particular grinds are that they are chisel/hollow grinds. The problem would only be for knives meant for heavy chopping. But the length that you were interested in doesn't seem like it would be an issue. For large choppers, hollow grinds have less steel behind the edge, increasing the chance for deformation upon heavy impact. That's why most heavy choppers are convex grinds. Think ax heads.
 
I have a Knifekits Delta 5 in the Chute Knife style and even though it has AUS-8 steel it came hair poppin' sharp out of the package. I ended up doing a cord wrap like the one shown and use it around the house and in the kitchen where it does an excellent job. The AUS-8 sharpens up very easily and maintains that edge for a reasonable length of time. Guess what I'm saying is don't give up on it due to the steel, afterall the worth of the steel is in it's heat treat.

Let me also add that you might want to look at what Entek Knives have to offer. They are constructed from 440C that goes through a tempering and hardening cycle that is designed to get the maximum performance that 440C has to give. And 440C has a LOT to offer. Just because it has been passed by the "super steels" doesn't mean its not a good steel in its own right. Anyway, enough on the 440C steel.
