all 440c i m waitinig on for a evenheat kiln to find its way to the shop so i can finish a few blades ive started

Looks like you're jumping in with both feet - HT oven and all! That's the way to do it. I like the distal taper you show in the second pic, that's not easy to pull off. Those should be some nice knives, let us see the finished products.

that big one is going to be fun to use!! Cant wait to see what there like finnished ;)

i was always told if your going to do something do it all the way and if you mess up hope that you got it all out of your system so you dont do it again.
the big one btw is more a test i think its a little thin 5/32s going to make it in 3/16 or 1/4 next time. i have a good friend that just joined the army and the next will be sent with him

I'm impressed that you are doing a nice distal taper. Many new guys just grind a knife from a bar and don't taper at all till the point.Nice work.

Nice work. ;) Looks like you're well on your way. Can't wait to see the finish results.
Scott

So far they're looking pretty nice! May need some holes for scales or something, though! ;)
